I used to like this show when I was a kid, but to this day I'm not even sure why because it aged so badly. The characters are cheaply animated and designed and hardly appealing, the landscapes are poorly designed, the 3D animation is confusing, and some characters are even stereotypical. And also, the jokes are so childishly crude and the show overall is mean-spirited. I mean, who is this bully who's hiding a giant ball in his hat? Is Tommy's younger brother actually a sociopath? There's much more I could say…
This was such a lame cartoon.<br/><br/>I am so glad that this show is gone, because there wasn't any single good thing about it. <br/><br/>First of all, it was only a bad rip-off of "My Lifea Teenage Robot" (Which was a rip-off of "Astroboy" to begin with) but somehow this managed to be much worse than that cartoon.<br/><br/>All the characters from this series were bland stereotypes, and all of them were incredibly unlikeable and boring.<br/><br/>The stories from each episode were bland, boring and forgettable at best, with many unfunny and lame attempts of humor and many repetitive situations.<br/><br/>Even the art from this series was bad, with all the characters looking like they were rejected extras from one episode of "The Powerpuff Girls". In many ways, this is what "Robotboy" is very deep inside: A pathetic "Powerpuff Girls" wannabe which is best forgotten.<br/><br/>0/10

While this hasn't particularly been fully explained,but there could perhaps be a hint that Protoboy was repaired by someone who found him destroyed after the battle between him and Robotboy. After being repaired the founder might have offered him to work for him/her and will always repair him every time he's hurt or destroyed thus can do his revenge. Professor Moshimo have created Robotboy for usea machine for defending and to communicate with humanswell. But having these three kinds of forms makes it easier to recognize what Robotboy and other of Moshimo's creations are depending the situation. For examples:<br/><br/>Deactivated: Robotboy is not activated when we see his head being shaped like a circle. The one thing Tommy use Robotboydeactivated is like a toy when his parents are around him.<br/><br/>Activated: Robotboy firstly receives his ears by growing out and then can be used for both communication and defending. The way of Robotboy being activated can be used for battling and defend yourself from danger.<br/><br/>Super-activated: The most superior form only to use if the villain he battles with become's more berserk. The weapons becomes more advanced and powerful and can possibly overcome the battle.
